Life, honestly, isn’t very hard for a Redridge hunter girl. Not if you’re the daughter of a castle lord. Still, pain is relative, and having your feelings bruised by your prospective loved one is not pleasant. On the other paw, it pales into insignificance compared to the plight of a mild-mannered Gilnean butler who suddenly finds himself with a lot more hair than he used to have, much sharper fingernails, much bigger teeth and quite a lot of blood on his claws. Being dropped in the middle of Dun Morogh’s frozen wastes with a cantankerous git of a trainer, likewise, isn’t quite as bad as being dropped in the middle of the Gilnean underworld of thieves, murderers, thugs, prostitutes and other scum. This is their story.
